Gilman Hill Asset Management, LLC (GHAM) was founded in May of 1999 by Senior Portfolio Manager Whitney Merrill, with a focus on investing in small capitalization equities. In August of 2006, the firm merged with the investment advisory division of Westport Capital Markets, LLC. At the time of the merger, the combined investment advisory division retained the name Gilman Hill Asset Management, and continued to operate as part of Westport Capital Markets, LLC. In August of 2007, Gilman Hill Asset Management, LLC was re-organized as an independent, stand alone, registered investment advisory firm, and in October of 2009, a controlling interest in the firm was purchased from the Managing Partners by Jenny Van Leeuwen Harrington. The original partners continue to be actively involved in the management of portfolios at GHAM.
