In 1795, the ancestors of Gilman Hill Asset Management's founder, Whitney Merrill, were deeded a parcel of land in New Hampshire. Through more than two centuries of history, the family has maintained a home on that original property, rebuilding twice when fire ravaged the structures. The current home, located on Gilman Hill, was constructed in 1904, and Mr. Merrill looked to this name and to this legacy of stability and endurance when he founded Gilman Hill Asset Management in 1999.
